Thanks for stopping in. It will take a little time to get the new blog rolling, but we hope to provide viewers an inside look into the WKRN news room experience. You can expect breaking news coverage here as well as insight into the stories we cover from anchors, producers, managers, the news desk. Reporters will also post about the stories they cover and provide more information than they could fit into their 2 minute stories.
We also hope to hear from you. Your news tips and feedback will help us see the stories through your eyes and help us report the stories that are important to you. We also hope to share information that won’t always make it into our newscast, but that you might still find important. You may even find the story behind the story that we might not have seen.
I’ll add more features to the site today and over time. If you have a particular feature you’d like to see here, let me know in comments.
I just have one question. What is going on at Channel 2? One day Alison and Neil are doing the 6:00 news and the next thing you know, Bob and Anne are back.
On sports, Cory Curtis shows back up. Frankly, I don’t know who to expect to see when I tune in to your station. Some stability and consistency would be nice.
I was wondering if we can still access the archives from the other blogs like John Dwyer’s and Jamey Tucker’s?
Ben, I’ll see what options we have to keep them accessible for as long as we can. In the meantime, you can still access them here:
Jamey Tucker: http://www.news2wkrn.com/religion/
Dwyer: http://www.news2wkrn.com/john
D. Baker, I’ll see if I can get the new anchor schedule and post that for you. As you may know, the station is transitioning under new management to kick the competition’s butt.
I have watched the news and weather, all over the country. We were in the Army. I think that Jeff Ray is the number one weather person, EVER. He doesn’t just read the words, he actually checks all the data. He tells interesting facts about the weather and other things.
My husband and I watch him everyday. We look forward to his reports. He should get a gold star and then some.
By the way, I am originally from St. Joe, Mo. So I know a lot of the places he has been.
We now live in Clarksville and are happy to have Mr. Ray on Channel 2.
