Over 300 officers from more than 60 different law enforcement agencies brought down a multi-million dollar drug operation in Middle Tennessee Thursday.
Of the 31 individuals indicted, 24 were arrested in Wilson, Rutherford and Williamson counties Thursday morning.
“Today we’re here to announce that we have completely dismantled this drug trafficking organization as it relates to Nashville, Tennessee,” DEA Special Agent Harry Sommers stated in a press conference. “The organization has been responsible for the importation, the transportation and the distribution of hundreds of kilos of cocaine and hundreds of pounds of marijuana, much of which was distributed right here in Middle Tennessee,”
Officials said the organization was importing drugs directly from Mexico into Middle Tennessee.
