There is no telling who from News 2 you will see on the stage at the Wildhorse Saloon tonight for The Media Challenge for United Way Talent Show. But I can tell you three different bands comprised of WKRN employees will perform. In fact, we’re competing against the staff of WSMV channel 4, WZTV channel 17, WTVF channel 5 and the Tennessean to see who gets the most “tips.”

There is a $5 cover. All proceeds will go to the United Way of Nashville. Come on down to the Wildhorse and tip the Team 2 performers!

Cindy shot me an email Friday with photos of Team 2 as they participated in Hands On Nashville 2007. I know it was almost two weeks ago (Sept. 29), but it’s never a bad time to recognize people that go the extra mile to help build community.

News 2 staff pictured above helped landscape Margaret Allen Middle. Team 2 was part of 1,000 volunteers that completed improvement projects at 50 Metro Nashville Public School sites.
